Connections is organized to provide home education families an opportunity to enrich their children's academic learning and social experience within the context of a Christian-based, classical co-operative organization. Our heart is to “walk in the light, as He is in the light, to have fellowship with one another.” (1 John 1:7)

Students

Students are the heart of our community at Connections. We exist to create a Christ-centered, classical learning environment where students are encouraged to think deeply, engage in meaningful conversations, and develop a lifelong love of learning. Through the tools of classical education, we pursue truth, beauty, and goodness—guiding students to grow in wisdom, character, and purpose.

Lower school: PreK–6th grade
Upper school: 6th–12th grade
Note: 6th grade students may choose either the Lower or Upper School program, depending on readiness and family preference.

Parents

At Connections we believe that parents play a vital role in their children’s education and in the overall success of our community. To foster a collaborative and supportive environment, parents must be actively involved in Connections by serving in some capacity and remaining on campus for the duration of the day. This commitment helps strengthen our community and supports the educational experience for all students.

At Connections, our classes are designed to support families with rich, meaningful learning experiences rooted in classical education and joyful community.

For Lower School (ages 4–11/12), instruction is built around the Five Core Habits of Grammar: naming, attending, memorizing, expressing, and storytelling. Students engage in science, history and geography, timeline, English grammar and vocabulary from Latin and Greek roots, math facts, Bible, and public speaking. Students ages 7–8 are gently introduced to grammar through the IEW Fix-It Grammar program while students ages 9–12 dive into more depth concerning grammar and writing during their Essentials class.

In Upper School (ages 11/12+), students engage in deep learning using classical tools. Across all subjects whether studying science, literature, history, or logic they are trained to think critically and communicate clearly using the Five Common Topics: definition, comparison, relationship, circumstance, and testimony. Building on that foundation, they apply the Five Canons of Rhetoric (invention, arrangement, style, memory, and delivery) to develop thoughtful ideas and persuasive communication.
