2025–2026 Academic Class Offerings

At Classical Connections, our classes are designed to support families with rich, meaningful learning experiences rooted in classical education and joyful community.

Our morning classes focus on core academics and follow a classical approach.

For Lower School (ages 4–11/12), instruction is built around the Five Core Habits of Grammar: naming, attending, memorizing, expressing, and storytelling. Students engage in science, history and geography, timeline, English grammar and vocabulary from Latin and Greek roots, math facts, Bible, and public speaking. Students ages 7–8 are gently introduced to grammar through the IEW Fix-It Grammar program while students ages 9–12 dive into more depth concerning grammar and writing during their Essentials class. View our lower school academics by cycle here.

In Upper School (ages 11/12+), students engage in deep learning using classical tools. Across all subjects whether studying science, literature, history, or logic they are trained to think critically and communicate clearly using the Five Common Topics: definition, comparison, relationship, circumstance, and testimony. Building on that foundation, they apply the Five Canons of Rhetoric (invention, arrangement, style, memory, and delivery) to develop thoughtful ideas and persuasive communication. Our afternoon shifts into hands-on, interest-based electives that allow students to explore creativity, develop life skills, and build friendships through shared experiences. Elective offerings vary each semester based on student interest as well as parent interest and availability, making them one of our most unique and dynamic features. Past electives have included chorus, ballroom dance, LEGO club, board games, first aid & CPR, fun with food, Tunes & Tales, Spanish, folk games, test-taking skills, Bible journaling, and student government. Details on specific Fall 2025 classes will be announced soon!
